Magazine cover design - II
Embark on a visual journey through my latest personal project, where creativity knows no bounds and graphic design takes center stage. In this unique endeavor, I meticulously crafted a captivating series of magazine covers, each an exploration into different themes, all while pushing the boundaries of traditional design techniques.

At the heart of this project lies an innovative approach that breathed life into the covers' visual narratives. The secret? The printer at my own home and a dash of creative ingenuity. I dared to deviate from the norm, embracing an unconventional technique that yielded mesmerizing results. As I embarked on the process of scanning various objects, I allowed them to subtly shift and glide beneath the scanner's watchful gaze. The result? A mesmerizing interplay of distortion and haziness, transforming mundane items into ethereal, almost dreamlike visuals.
1) Euphonic Abyss - Music magazine
Process - The initial image remains in its original form, while the subsequent two variations undergo creative transformation through the application of gradient mapping.
Final cover
Crafted a dynamic magazine cover using earphones as the visual centerpiece, intricately scanning their textures to form a compelling graphic backdrop that harmonizes with the theme. Typography artfully complements the design, capturing the essence of sound and style.
Heading: Rocket (Regular)
Body: Broadacre (Thin 1)
2) DNA Mirages - Interdisciplinary Magazine
Process - The initial image remains in its original form, while the subsequent three variations undergo creative transformation through the application of gradient mapping.
Final cover
Fashioned a captivating science magazine cover by orchestrating straws base into DNA-shaped waves. Skilfully scanning these in motion on a printing scanner brought the concept to life, merging aesthetics with scientific intrigue. The result: a visual masterpiece that encapsulates the dynamic beauty of genetic currents.
Heading: Zuume Cut (Regular)
Body: Broadacre (Thin 1)

3) Genetic Currents - Science magazine
Process - The initial image remains in its original form, while the subsequent four variations undergo creative transformation through the application of gradient mapping.
Final cover
By inverting two of the outcomes, the cover beautifully captures the essence of DNA's elegant structure and complexity.
Heading: Magno Sans Variable (Regular)
Body: Broadacre (Thin 1)
4) Net loss: Activism and Advocacy Publication
Process - The initial image remains in its original form, while the subsequent three variations undergo creative transformation through the application of gradient mapping.
Final cover
The title 'Net Loss' is a clever play on words that conveys multiple layers of meaning. Here's the rationale behind the name: The term "net loss" is also commonly used in finance to describe a situation where expenses exceed revenue, resulting in a negative financial outcome.
By repurposing this financial term, you're drawing a parallel between the ecological "expenses" imposed by abandoned nets on marine life and the negative "outcomes" they create for the ocean's health. On the other hand, it refers to the physical fishing nets that are abandoned or lost at sea, causing harm to marine life and ecosystems.
These discarded nets, often referred to as "ghost nets," become a source of entanglement and destruction, leading to the loss of marine species and habitats.

The background is a deep and vibrant shade of blue, creating a sense of endless depth and the vastness of the ocean. These abandoned light blue color fishing nets, partially transparent due to their submerged state, float gracefully amidst the currents. The netting is depicted in intricate detail, with its texture and patterns giving it a tactile quality that practically begs the viewer to reach out and touch it.
I've put a lot of effort into this project, and I'm eager to hear your thoughts and feedback.
Your support means the world to me!
