CHALLENGE
Every May, The Foursquare Church hosts an annual convention for more than 3,500 of its pastors, credentialed ministers and church leaders. The objectives of Foursquare Connection are to refresh attendees, recharge their purposes, excite members about Foursquare and its future, and facilitate connection and reconnection within Foursquare family.
 
It is hosted in a different city every year and each convention has a different vision or theme for that convention. Our Events team wanted us to create a logo that added recognition, visibility and legacy. This mark needed to have flexibility and sustainability, symbolizing Foursquare Connection's uniqueness and emphasizing its objectives.
 
SOLUTION
We researched several other competing and national conferences: Seven Day Adventist, Assemblies of God, Catalyst, Chic-fil-a Leadercast, and Hillsong. We wanted a mark that was engaging, welcoming, and connected. It needed to say, "We've got your back." We developed a looping C, for Connection. The mark is symbolic of many things—a handshake, a hug, relationships, forward movement, and network. This mark is something that is strong enough to stand on its own, but flexible enough to complement the theme and assets for each year.
