A specimen built up from illegible calligraphic elements, it figures the sublimity and artistry of calligraphy and puts into a new context the nature of manual gestural lines, a composition that creates colourful and almost forced situations. The dichotomy of intelligibility and incomprehensibility plays an important role, as we can see characters resembling Latin letters in the resulting 'calligraphies', and thus interpret them, but the resulting 'expressions' have no semantic content.
