The Food Photography industry has been using tricks to make dishes look tastier and more visually appealing for decades.

Now, it's not uncommon to use 3D renderings for anything from Burgers to Pizzas in order to create that mouth-watering response in viewers.But how will Generative AI like Midjourney impact the next-gen of food images we'll be seeing in the near future?Below is a small excerpt of some experiments I did utilising the popular Swedish Hamburger chain MAX Burgers as a conceptual example.

All images are generated using Midjourney, then upscaled and applied some simpler depth-maps in After Effects to get some interesting motion. All UI is then applied in Figma for the final layout.What would days, if not weeks, to produce something similar with conventional 3D software, took me a couple of hours in an afternoon.
