Various logos I had designed for freelance and White's Chapel-related programs.
This was for a family who had bought a youth's sailboat for their son. He had named it the "Shark Tracker" and they commissioned me to design a logo for it. I wasn't sure how old the son was, but I tried to design a logo that would be enjoyed by most boys.
These are the original concepts I sent. My favorite was the top left because of it's cartoony look- I was afraid the son would think it was too childish, but I was very happy to hear they liked it too. The only tweak requested was to use the text from the bottom option instead of on the magnifying glass.
These were made for a ranch I was commissioned to design a logo for. My client sent me a sketch of the letters "SVR" with a star above the "V", but were pretty open to fonts and style. My first design was more wild and contemporary, but mostly I tried to keep the others in the realm of something you'd see on a modern ranch.
These were made for a pastor at White's Chapel who wanted to make a less formal podcast that might interest a more general audience. The end-product came from a collaboration between a coworker and myself, but above are my original contributions.
The MCC (Methodist Collegiate Church) conference is a new entity and I had the privilege of helping brainstorm some ideas for its logo. We did not receive much direction, and I ended up trying some very direct options, as well as some abstract.
Over the years a crest has been considered for White's Chapel, but the idea has never gained enough momentum to get off the ground. It would stand apart from our logo, but other than adding some prestige I think no one saw enough purpose in having one. Above shows a concept series of shields that could have been used in a crest, the only guiding feature being that it needed to be a shield with three crosses.
My sister asked me to design a logo for her son's soccer team "Squad Goals". The two general ideas I tried to convey was 1.) a soccer ball going into a goal and 2.) a check box with a soccer ball inside the box. (1. being a literal goal, and 2. being like when you check boxes off on your to-do list - daily goals.) In the end they chose the one in the center at the very top and I agreed with their choice.
