Food: Mountain Honey

For this personal project, we had the pleasure of joining a group of beekeepers at one of the world's most awesome honey holes, Mountain Honey in Clarkesville, GA. Mountain honey has been recognized at the World Honey Show with three Gold Medals (2005 in Dublin, Ireland, 2009 in Montpellier, France and 2013 in Kiev, Ukraine), so saying that this is the best honey you will ever try is no real stretch. The process of making the honey is captivating – of course the bees are doing a lot of the hard work – and tasting it fresh is an experience like no other. You can purchase all you want from their website, or if you are local to the area, you can stop by their honey stand any time. The only downside that we have found to eating this stuff, is that nothing else will stack up again. Trust us, you MUST try the Sourwood when it's available.
