The Enchanted Mermaid's Purse
This began as a bit of a doodle, slowly forming into an idea for a bookplate for some short stories I'd started writing during lockdown at my house in Cornwall.
It was winter and the days were mostly dark, windy and damp. My head was filled with stories about giants, monsters, witches, mermaids and old Cornish myths and legends of long ago...
I started inking bits of my sketch for the bookplate before I knew what the final image would be. Not always a good idea!
I've started sketching out some of my story ideas along with characters from old Cornish tales...work in progress...
