REDESIGNING TWITCH mobile app - Prototype, video

Redesigning Twitch mobile app based on heuristic evaluation and issues found.
For this project I based my UI Twitch redesign regarding Jakob Nielsen’s ten heuristics. My study revealed five main issues such as:

Principle 1) Visibility of system status:
- When I click on some text boxes, I see nothing happening, even if it should intuitively be linking to a game page, a tag selection etc.

I have made the clickable tag and text identifiable using the violet color.

Principle 3) User control and freedom:
- When a streamer is on Live, if I want to visit his.her profile to check agenda, previous videos, I have: 1. to enter the Live current video. The chat takes all the space under the live video. 2. to click on the video to make it appear a short profile during a few seconds, which is too fast. 3. to click on the profile pic on the left to open the profile menu. The text box is not clickable. 4. Finally, the menu is open, the video is still ON at the bottom corner on the right, and I can access the infos I need.

I want to reduce from 4 to 2 steps buy placing a button next to the chat section, which links directly to the profile page.

- They « forgot » the Prime icon and services linked to Prime. So you cannot receive awards on the phone, neither abonner to the streamer of your choice for free, you have to go on the computer for that.

I have reintroduced the Prime functionality accessible by clicking the icon.

Principle 4) Consistency and standards:
- The tags do not seem to have auto-layout, two or three letters tags such as "FR" will have the regular space on the left side, but a bigger space on the right side.

I have added auto-layout in tag sections.

Principle 6) Recognition rather than recall:
- The tags under videos are ambiguous: I do not recognize/know if I can click and for which goal. This is not identifiable as it is on Youtube, Tik Tok, Instagram.

- The videos are used as buttons to open a profile. The text such as the streamer's name, the stream title, the game name is not clickable. On the desktop site, it is.

I have made the clickable tag and text identifiable using the violet color.

Principle 8) Aesthetic and minimalist design:
- General design is so minimalist it looks like a Mid-Fi. The general look is too compact.

I respected the minimalist style but made it more attractive and friendly using the violet corporate color and a larger spacing everywhere needed.
