Experiments with WebGL,Three.js and the 3D space of a website.
The main part of this project involved exploring the possibility of loading a three-dimensional model in .obj format provided by the library three.js, as well as experimenting with its various functionalities.
The designed website contains a central three-dimensional model representing a face, around which various smaller models will rotate, simulating or symbolizing the thoughts of the face.
Leveraging the capabilities offered by the Three.js library, users can rotate the central model using drag/orbit controls and perform zoom-in/zoom-out on the page.
A broader intention was to be explored in the future and not within the scope of this project, was for the "thoughts" floating around the central face model to symbolize various personal projects, each represented by a three-dimensional icon indicative of the respective project. These "thoughts" could then be selected, leading the user to the presentation of the corresponding project. Thus, the webpage would evolve into a personal portfolio.
