Display Internship position, White Plains, NY
During my summer at Anthropologie, a team of artists (display coordinator, visual sales associate, and visual manager) including myself, worked together to turn the store completely around for the fall roll out. Each month we created different window displays around the store using all-recyclable materials. My specialty was designing the signage throughout the store along with all other major craft components the store needed. We were awarded the number one design team for Anthropologie's fall roll out in the entire district.

Each month we created different window displays around the store using all-recyclable materials. My specialty was designing the signage throughout the store along with all other major craft components the store needed. We were awarded the number one design team for Anthropologie's fall roll out in the entire district.
The first window display was made from old beach fencing that was taken apart and reformed into geometric forms that wrapped around the front of the store. We weaved differently colored dyed fabrics around the wood and inserted ight fixtures inside.
Another window display was called the Boat House. To create a rustic type look we designed wooden oars that we cut, carved, painted, and waxed ourselves. The buoys were made of recycled cardboard, fabric, paper, and glue.
We cut and sewed together thousands of pastel colored paper to make a giant chandelier in the middle of the store.
Using old recycled literature and music books, we tore out the pages and made a beautiful composition completely covering an entire wall up to the ceiling.
Using the same concept of recycled paper, we cut color strips and weaved it through chicken wire to make a nice composition. It was formed in a geometric shape and placed on the wall with a light fixture.
These are two of the ten samples of the signage I created for different merchandise throughout the store.
This project had a fine artist theme. We gave our old paint brushes a nice used look and made a coat rack with them along the wall of the store to display Anthropologie's fabulous aprons.
