CL3 Golf Rangefinder for Voice Caddie 2023

This is the design of Voice Caddie's golf rangefinder, CL3 model, which is a golf distance measurement device. The design incorporates various colors, patterns, materials, finishes, and visual elements to express a dynamic and contrasting sentiment in sports equipment. It is compact and sporty in design, catering to the target audience interested in a sporty style, with a concept of being ultra-small and lightweight. User-friendly details, a sporty sense, and professional functions are packed into a compact scale. The design features a grip that is easy to hold and buttons that are conveniently placed and easily identifiable when pressed. It stimulates emotions with an image reminiscent of sportwear.

Process

To create an active and high-contrast color and finish, we studied the combination of green, which represents golf, with contrasting red, as well as the calm and warm ivory, and professional black with serration. Through multiple steps of mock-ups and prototyping, we designed a Rangefinder that is simple yet three-dimensional, harmoniously arranging various design elements. We conducted research on the structure that allows for efficient production of each component's detail and connection while maintaining a compact scale by encompassing the electric components.
