Is the price reasonable? What about the carbon cost? Is the brand fair and ethical? Most consumers don’t have time to ponder these questions while shopping. However, through intuitive app design, we see an opportunity to help people make better choices. We call it Informd.

In the not too distant future, brands will be legally required to mark their products with substantiated claims around ESG and LCA. This paves the way for a digital platform that uses this data to help shoppers make the best choices according to their top priorities. Harnessing our skills in digital app design, we did just this.

Informd is, in essence, an AR app that lets shoppers scan a product with their phone camera and see how it performs against their own set of criteria.

Let’s hope something like Informd is closer than we think.
