ABOUT THE PROJECT:

A highly personal project for my own improvement and self-development.

I took on a challenge to create a short story every week for these past 6 weeks

(ending up with a total of 6 short stories and a decent amount of prompts and exercises such as free-writes, descriptions etc).

This series of illustrations is a collection of concept artworks for each one of these stories, where I tried to capture the feeling, atmosphere or initial visualisation I had in mind while writing and re-reading the story.

Illustrations of the stories in an order in which they were written:

Story No.1: Mother

Premise: A mother needs to always do what is right for her children. But what if that affects the bonds with her own parents? A short story from the scene of a train station abou the power of decision-making.

Story No.2: House

Premise: Family of three and a house. Add few important lost papers, a sheriff from court, a kid's point of view on everything and you'll end up with quite some story about fatherhood, loss and kind heart.

Story No.3: Ali and Veronika

Premise: Two sisters start to observe and voice creatures in the forest, but their innocent play soon turns into an unexpected dispute. What is the true happiness in life?

Story No.4: chapter x: in the depth of a mind everything is absolutely black but it's moving like scribbles.

Premise: When Mina gets stuck inside her own mind, Ally is determined to find her friend. What follows is not only a journey to find Mina, but a journey to self-love, filled with foes and allies of one's mind.

Note: this story is a chapter of a bigger project (beginning and ending are still in progress).

Story No.5: Growth

Premise: How much can we grow thanks to the people that surround us? A story from the perspective of 3 classmates learning mutually from each other's mistakes, insights and beliefs.
