Room for Expressionism

I have a series of digitally created sketches that I later transferred onto canvas using acrylic paints. Initially, my plan was to display these artworks in my home, but since I travel frequently, carrying the canvases with me is not practical. As a solution, I have decided to gather all these characters in a virtual room where I can admire them at any time and share them with others.
I find drawing faces and human figures most captivating. When creating these sketches, I had a dual objective in mind. On one hand, I aimed to achieve balanced compositions by simplifying shapes and tones to their bare minimum. On the other hand, I sought to convey a wide range of human emotions and experiences, telling brief stories about love and loneliness.

To achieve this, I simplified the images to a minimal amount of contrasting color patches, while still capturing the essence of living people. The works of German expressionists from the group Die Brücke (The Bridge) served as the primary sources of inspiration for this series of my works.
