Situated at the heart of Ware in Hertfordshire, SkateWare is a new skatepark development designed and built by concrete skatepark specialists Betongpark. The development brought a necessary redevelopment to an existing tiring and aging skatepark, which was a much-loved part of the local community.

Being a part of the local community I approached the local council to offer my design services to be part of the community project. The main aim was to help inject some additional life and energy into the space through the use of a large floor mural at the entrance to the park as well as colourful painted interventions peppered across the park.

The mural design consists of two components the letter S & W (SkateWare).

The Overlapping of each letter created intersections where we could play with negative space and colour.
