Artwork created for Officina Riva Lab's residence
- "New traditional project” (Riva del Garda - Italy).
Inspired by an old legend telling of a mysterious city
submerged by the water of Lake Garda many centuries ago,
I decided to create a papercraft installation combined with
a video mapping projection.
--- The structure, composed of 130 assembled paper-pyramids,
is an abstract representation of the biggest lake in Italy ---
Through the video mapping, Lake Garda turns to life and by
a show of lights and colors the pyramids become the houses of
that ancient city, they are first illuminated and afterwards
drowned under the marble waters.
