Lucas Ryū-en | 2023 CV Voicebank
Lucas Ryū-en was first a fan UTAU loid drawn in the beginning of 2020, with the intention of being another Dutch UTAU on the field. However, to stay true and to get the hang of the UTAU program he is first given a CV JP voicebank. This was made back in 2020.

Since I've been extremely bored at home for the past 4 months now I knew I needed a way to escape this isolation. Music yet again came bank on my path as drawing wasn't going that great with no inspiration. So in 2023 I went back to exploring UTAU. Making a new 2023 CV JP voicebank. This one was recorder with a better quality and OTO with the help of the community. there for a better sounding voicebank to use in UTAU and in Open UTAU.
Believe it or not this version displayed here is his 3rd design already.

His design is based of elements from the Netherlands. A character proudful representing his small country. With the colours Orange, Red, White and Blue. The black and grey are added as an extra to give a bit of rest in the design. In the 2020 design he was kept simple and mainly focused on the aspect of a guy with a tie in a lion jacket. His most iconic feature is the use of a LED voice-active rave mask. He had a head set hidden underneath the hoodie. This design was altered in 2021 where the floof around the hood was added and the hair got slightly longer. The headset was taken out since you wouldn’t see it anyways and the art just altered some colours. 2021 came with an inside design. Lucas had been designed to look like some android robot rather than just an anime figure for software. On his back you can see a USB port and some marking on his back that can be opened to enter his inside for disc readings or hardware change. The stripped art of only robotics was also designed clear in case people wanted to draw this.
In 2023 the design again got changed. A new CV is being made as we speak and will be published soon hopefully.
As celebration for the new CV. He still rocks the Lion jacket and the fake lion tail. (No, the lion parts are just props and not functional)
His jacket got an update and more detailed. Elements of music hardware were added to the design. His right glove now holds a sound board feature, and his left hand has a wristband based on an empty music sheet. His hoodie straps are headphones plugins and piano keys can be seen on the shoulder. His pants hold some text of the current model or voice bank that is up to date. The rave mask remains and so do the Dutch colours, but they are slightly altered. His hair is again a bit longer and he had his headphones back as replacement for his ears. His headphones do not hold a mic option tho. They are more his ears now.

The alt outfit has been here with us since the start. But it also has its own unique features. The intention of the alt outfit is to be used for serious or dark songs. This costume should have a power VB. (in the future I hope). It can and sometimes is used as an evil alter ego in contrast to the joy like normal Lucas. It’s no DID its just and alter ego/ other part / code era of his software, lore wise that is. The design of the alt Lucas is mainly black. The Dutch flag now represents the ‘prinsjes vlag’ the former Dutch flag before they changed to red. His eyes are now red, and every power source turns red except for the eye marks that remain orange. There isn’t much more to say about the design since it’s just a recolour of the original, but it’s always been a huge debate among people about which colour design is the better looking one. Feel free to use both design as you please and give the lad some new extra cool clothes for his wardrobe!
Here above are two song samples of what the 2023 CV JP voicebank sounds like. OFC people can probably do better things with his voice then I did. I will try to get enough money to buy a sound / music software to edit the voice better with the songs. so who knows.
