My new book „SOME SQUARES“
An coffee-table book with pure and raw analog black and white photographs in 6×6 format.
In the moment the pandemic started back in 2020 I got my first Rolleiflex camera which I bought one day before the public shutdown. This camera as well as the following time inspired me so that I finally in November 2022 spontaneously came up with the idea to bring out a book only with photos in the format 6x6.
„some squares" is a book that shows exclusively analog photographs in the square format 6x6 (photographed with classic Rolleiflex and Hasselblad cameras). The photographs included are portraits and fashion photographs in combination with private and experimental photos. I have attached great importance to the content offering the greatest possible photographic authenticity: there was no retouching, almost no photo was cropped and also image and development errors I have deliberately preserved.
Even though I like to shoot a lot with other film formats as well as digital, it is the square 6x6 format that fascinates me the most and I hope I can inspire you with it as well!
The design and layout is completely selfmade by me in InDesign, the photos are scanned with an Epson V800 and processed in Lightroom.
"Technical" data about the book: 128 pages, matte, 170g/m2, size 24×24cm, canvas binding, embossed title label, hardcover with thread stitching.
