Facebook Extended is a proposed extension of Facebook that allows users to establish online connections for the express purpose of meeting those people in real life. This application helps users deviate from their existing social circles by removing the barriers that previously kept them rooted in narrow fields of interaction. It supplements our natural desire to make new friends with an infrastructure that steers us towards encounters with a timely mix of unexpected people.
