Friends of Monona Bay Website

TASK
As part of the annual Design Like Mad event, Friends of Monona Bay was a non-profit organization in need of a new website design. A team composed of two designers and one programmer worked to design, code, and publish the entire project in less than 12 hours. Friends of Monona Bay needed a complete overhaul of their existing website to make it useful to the public and encourage awareness for non-members.
SOLUTION
All of the content for the website was reorganized to fit under a set number of page categories, with category names that would be easy for the public to understand. A splash page was created for the home page to feature the mission statement of the organization and to encourage visitors to join in their efforts. The blue monochromatic color scheme was chosen to reflect the water of the bay, and a modern design helps to distinguish it from similar organizations utilizing natural colors and design. The website was also coded for screen responsiveness, resizing as needed for tablets, phones, and various size monitors.
