The brief for this project was chosen from a list of typographers and typographies and develop a packaging as image and likeness of the letter. The pack had to keep consistency with the letter and hold it like a premium piece.
The idea was to immortalize the author and his creation by a tribute volume.
My choice was the A of the Futura.
It is a sans-serif typeface designed in 1927 by Paul Renner (1878 - 1956) and is based on geometric shapes and design matches the style of the Bauhaus. It was designed bycustom Bauer Type Foundry.
The pack is all done with various types of papers, the internal structure is foam board, the interior with a padded fabric adhesive, ... The letter is a volume of wood attached with methacrylate.
