PROPOSITION
Fascinated by how bulbous forms tend to evoke softness, malleability and to some extent, youthfulness, the Bubble Box contrasts this form language with that of oak, an “old school” hardwood known for its rigidity, density and durability. This balance presents itself in the form of a sleek, seamless jewellery box, with its gently concave lid serving as a catchall tray when dismounted.
The layered design makes the box to appear seamless when closed, while the slight curvature on the top side of the lid allows it to function as a catchall tray for more frequently-used items.
