I was inspired by a speech of Ellen Dunham Jones at a recent TEDXconference held in Atlanta, where she mentioned how important a “thirdplace” is to a successful community. Your first place is your home, your secondplace is your office, your third place is where you go to socialize, relax, andbe a part of your community. Calling upon my background in fashion & crafting, I crafted three quilted posters to represent your third places, parks, pathways, and porches to promote a fictional lecture series given by Ellen Dunham Jones.
