Taking A Stand
For this typography-only project, I designed a promotional poster for a PBS documentary on the Civil Rights Movement in Milwaukee. My goal was to visually convey the oppression experienced by People of Color in America through text alone. By utilizing text as a form of imagery, I depicted the "Taking" as a symbol of the oppressive power that silences people's voices ("A"). Using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, I crafted this piece to capture the essence of the struggle for civil rights.
