Sukhna Lake - Foothills of Himalaya
Sukhna Lake, forseen as 'carto e of the body and spirit' by its designer Le Corbusier, is situated at the foothills of the Himalayas. This rainfed lake was created in 1958 by damming the seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik mountains
The promenade of the lake is famous amongst the residents of Chandigarh and nature lovers alike. Fitness enthusiasts come here for working out, families come here for outing and people like me often come here for a stroll, a perfect spot for a grounding mindfull walk in the lap of nature.
