Project Describtion: This portfolio showcases our team's efforts in developing an innovative solution for Studio THI to engage young people aged 18-25 in the urban change and growth that Brisbane is experiencing. We were given a brief to create a solution within a tight deadline of just 3 days and with limited budget, while considering the possibility of implementing the solution. Our team consisted of Nguyen Hoang, Lucy, Henry, and Haisen. 

The problem we identified was the lack of engagement from young people in the urban environment due to various challenges such as transportation, safety, environmental concerns, and limited access to information. With the average attention span of Gen Z being just 8 seconds, we needed a solution that was quick to engage and informative. 

We resolved this problem by integrating an innovative interactive feature into an existing app, Google Maps, which young people use in their daily lives. Our solution, Next Gen Nirvana, allows users to click on a building to access information about upcoming developments and view the area in 2D or 3D mode. A map layer shows new developments around the area, making it easy for users to understand urban change and their role in it. 

Our solution has several impacts, including enhanced engagement, increased support for urban change projects, improved accessibility, and user-centric design. By integrating our solution into an app that young people already use, it's easy for them to access information about urban change, and our user-centric design ensures that the solution is intuitive and easy to use. Overall, our solution addresses the brief given to us by Studio THI by promoting and enabling community-driven urban change, ensuring that people living in high-growth communities are meaningfully included, informed, and prepared for the transformation of their local community.
