Walmart Supercenter (Panama City Beach, FL) Mural Illustration for NOW Art Public Art Agency
I was approached and hired on as a freelance illustrator by NOW Art to design and illustrate mural art for the Panama City Beach, Florida Walmart Supercenter store. I would digitally paint a large scale work that would then be later printed and installed on the entrance vestibule wall by a local specialty company. This was part of Walmart's country wide rejuvenation project, to have each Supercenter better reflect the town/area that it resided in.
I was given a few visual necessities to include in the final illustration, which gave way to the split horizon composition, a first for me. It gave me the ability to show me both worlds of Panama City Beach: those under and above the water. A crucial theme of the city that I wanted to highlight with harmony. I did this with a cyclical composition, tying everything together back around with the rainbow in a full circle arc.
