Medisca Website and Application Strategy & Redesign

In the world of pharmaceutical compounding where precision and innovation are critical, Medisca partnered with Central Station to undergo a brand and website transformation. This case study unveils the Agile development of a cutting-edge application tailored to streamline Medisca's operations. This case study will explore the intricacies of our meticulous planning and creative strategies of our approach and showcase how together, we are redefining the industry standard in pharmaceutical compounding.
Business analysis and solution design was the most integral component of this large application design to ensure that we met the complex needs of Medisca's business  and how it operates in a global market. We helped identify specific requirements for each feature in exhaustive detail, and iterated on the defined scope of work using an Agile methodology necessary to achieve Medisca's constantly evolving business objectives, vigilantly on the lookout for early warning signs of challenges.

We conducted User Interviews with real customers from around the globe to collect and analyze valuable insights on our target audience's needs, pain points, and preferences for their shopping experience. This allowed us to design with empathy, understanding how they use Medisca's services on a daily basis in their business to build an app that meets their needs of pharmacists, healthcare providers, hospitals, clinics, and more with their diverse range of perspectives.
Our mission was to provide a seamless digital gateway to information that was vital to the work of healthcare workers, such as a Formula & Studies libraries. Through exhaustive user journey mapping and wireframing, we crafted an intuitive filtering system to go beyond use dates, ensuring accessibility for all. Every click, scroll, and interaction was carefully considered to ensure users could access and filter this treasure trove of knowledge intuitively and effortlessly.
In the Quality Assurance testing phase, we employed a variety of different testing methods including functional testing of individual features and functions, performance testing, and usability testing of the application's user interface to ensure it was intuitive, user-friendly, meeting the needs of beta users all the way to the production launch for end-users. We provided actionable feedback to our stellar team of designers and developers, and trained and supported the client to master the content management of their website using Contentstack CMS, and localization for different markets and multi-language support to expand Medisca's current breadth and future growth opportunities.
User feedback

"I did place my first order through your new website and it was great. Had no issues and difficulties. I liked the way I could see all orders, back orders and scheduled orders in one page with all the detailed information beside it. Very easy to log in and find chemicals and place the order. The fact that I could see the product detailed information (Lot number, actual expiry date and CofA) before ordering was very helpful. Also, I really liked the layout for checking out, so easy, clear and straight forward.
It is a great website, very user friendly and clear.

I checked out the site on my phone and it’s mobile-friendly.
I can see the investment Medisca has made and it will pay off”.

Overall the website is a significant step up.
Functionality is good, the layout is consistent and clear.”
