For my Minor Project at University I chose to base the project on encouraging women to attend a Cervical Cancer Screening appointment. Young women from the age of twenty are advised to take this test. One in five woman in the UK are avoiding attending a smear test which could potentially be a life changing procedure. The 'Fear Factor' is the most common reason why women do not attend.

The brief envolved raising awareness of the test and to highlight its importance. The screening is free of charge and takes no longer than two minutes which gives nobody an excuse not to attend. This brief required a cheeky and feminine brand to attract a young audience of women. This brand then would create a trend to make cervical screening a fashionable subject.

Women from the age of twenty receive a letter through the post requesting them to book an appointment.  These letters are very daunting and clinical. Here I designed a fun and multi-purpose letter that women would receive in the post. The letter contains informtation and a basic guide to a 'Smear test' making the receiver feel at ease and confident before attending their appointment.
These poster would be used to display at a clinic or surgery.
This App would enable women to browse anonymously in their own comfort at the facts about Cervical Screening.
