Drink Caddy
I decided to make this drink caddy because I had seen versions on it on social media and it would allow me to continue to get more comfortable working in the wood shop.
My first step was to measure and cut the side pieces to be 10.5inches tall and 5.5inches wide and cut a diagonal line from he top for aesthetics. I measured and cut the inside rails to 5inch tall and 3inch wide. I measured and cut the outside rails to 2inch tall and 9.5inch long. Once these were all cut out, I sanded the edges of every piece.
Next, I made three different monogram designs to choose from and etched them on scrap wood to decide.
Once I chose which monogram to use, I rastered the design into the side pieces.
Next, I stained the inside rails and outside rails to contrast the color of the side pieces.
Next, I brad nailed a 10.5inch piece of plywood to the bottom of the side pieces and attached a dowel to the inside as a handle.
Finally, I glued the inside and outside rails together and then glued them to the inside of the project.
