It was a 1995 Syrian summer if my memory serves me right. My cousin and friends held a house party at his cousin's house.
We were a bunch of boys and girls with a 1960s record player and some records. A song that was played and that we all loved on that day was Bob Azzam's Mustapha Ya Mustapha.
It is such a fun dance, clap and sing-along tune. The song stuck in my mind long enough to think of this poster that pays homage to it and one of my favorite cinematic universes: Star Wars.
Years later I learned Darth Vader resided in a castle on a planet called Mustafar.
This was inevitable ... this poster has been floating in my mind for the past four years. I finally got to finish the first version of it.
There are two other versions that I will be posting sometime soon. This one is inspired by an actual cover of a Bob Azzam record.
Until then let us all sing along "Mustafar ya Mustafar ana Bahebak Ya Mustafar" with Darth Vader.
