A safety pin has the word safe in its name doesn't means it is safe. Yes, it holds a fabric in place on your body but it can also prick into your skin and hurt you. Similarly, an unhappy marriage is not always that way. Once it brought a feeling of content and happiness in your life, But, now the same marriage feels miserable. The saree worn by the bride on the wedding day now just feels like a wet cloth- heavy and uncomfortable. The woman is still carrying the weight of the wet saree (unhappy marriage) because of the happy moments and memories she once shared with her partner, hoping that it will get better.
