This piece is made from many beings.
The many form the Anima and the Shadow.
With both creative and destructive powers the Anima can realize one's creative potential, but may also drown one in emotional confusion.
The Shadow also with a double edge, can bring awareness to one's negative aspects and there by understanding them, or the precise opposite, the Shadow can swallow up the Self, and consume one in darkness, loathing, and anger.

The Anima represents the feminine goddess within, powerful, both in creative and supportive ways, as well as intuitive, but can sometimes call up tumultuous emotion. The Shadow represents the dark side of Man. Shadow grasps at Anima's beauty, to control and harness it, driving the cycle round and round.
At center the feminine energy attains equilibrium, flourishing in and of itself.
Free of the control of the Other.
