Brokpas: The stunning headdresses

BROKPAS

High in the Himalayas, the barren desert of Ladakh evokes pictures of Bactrian double-humped camels, the elusive snow leopard, the icy River Indus, and of course, the omnipresent maroon-robed Lamas going about their daily lives with no thought of the outside world. The Brokpas of Ladakh are a small tribe that live in the same region. They have long hair, chiseled features, flowing sheepskin jackets and stunning floral headdresses.

This is our humble attempt to recreate the unmatched beauty and delicacy of the Brokpa headgear as the cover story for the floral issue of Femina.
