The former Otone town, where our rice is produced, has a long history of becoming soil suitable for rice paddies after floods. To convey the focus on environmentally friendly and safe production methods, as well as the familiar and traditional aspects of rice eaten in households, we aimed for packaging that would evoke a sense of safety and honesty, rather than just being cute or luxurious. As online sales are our primary channel, we did not need advertising elements to catch people's attention in stores, resulting in a simple design. The labels are made of washi paper.
