Typography Geocaching | Infographic

Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, anywhere in the world.

As a nerdy typography buff, I decided that it would be fun to create a geocaching game which seeks out beautiful letter-forms in the environment. This map offers a fun way to explore the city of Boston, while also treasure-hunting for typographic “landmarks”. The lines connecting the letters and numbers follow my original path of discovery; however feel free to explore these typographic geocaches in whichever order works best for you. Enjoy!
