From SoCal to NorCal: Capturing Authentic Moments in Promotional Event Videos ☀️🌴
The Set-Up
Given our experience in documentary filmmaking, we adopted a flexible approach to capturing the various events. We understood that while it was essential to highlight the key moments of the conference, we needed to create a comprehensive narrative that conveyed the overall vibe of the event.
The Challenges
To achieve this, we began by capturing establishing shots to set the scene and showcase the atmosphere of the conference. We knew that great B-roll alone wouldn't make a compelling story. Therefore, we focused on creating context and introducing relatable characters that the audience could connect with.
The Outcome
Our approach paid off, and we were able to create enough content to produce both short-form and YouTube format videos. To ensure that the videos were engaging, we carefully curated relatable characters and crafted a compelling storyline. Every piece of footage and edit was aligned with the intention of conveying the conference's essence and highlighting its most important aspects.
The videos were a resounding success and helped bring attention to the cosmetic marketing company and their clients. The increased engagement helped boost brand awareness and led to a 26% increase in sales.
