Shrooly is a smart indoor garden for growing rare mushrooms at home.

Our aim was to create a straightforward design focusing on function-driven aesthetics and highlighting the natural beauty of mushrooms without any obtrusive details.

I was responsible to refine and further develop the initial design created by the founders and merge with the technical development while keeping the original character and aesthetics loved by over 3000 backers.

Co-design & development: Samuel Schaffhauser, Abel Horvath, Adam Lipecz and the Shrooly team.

Low-fidelity sketches mainly used for internal communication during the development.

All details are an outcome of certain function, which formed the Shrooly's visual language. We wanted to create a loveable device, that blends in any home environment.

Growing a mushroom is an experience to watch... Shrooly's large transparent front and back covers allows the users enjoy the whole process while the device takes care of the optimal conditions inside.
