I was asked to create a Wizard of Oz inspired commission for a Christmas present (through the gallery I belong to Degreeart). I incorporated key elements from the film like the emerald city, Dorothy’s dog Toto, the lion, the scarecrow and the Tin Man. The main character, dressed as Dorothy is the clients little girl, as it’s her favourite film. The film seemed like a perfect choice for a theme for me with the films psychedelic styling and magical story line.
