Nowhere is a 1997 movie by Gregg Araki. It shows a kind of ordinary day of a grup of friends in LA. I wanted to translate the late 90s style (mini skirt, pleated skirt, crop top, maxi t-shirt, transparency, plaid textile, camel wool) into something contemporary. I used neoprene, plastic printed vichy cotton and bright black plastic knitwear. I combined maxi plaid with mini plaid in the patchwork jacket, doubled with neoprene.
In the fashion shooting I styled my pieces with both 90s and contemporary clothes. I wanted to represent a resemblance between a symmetric and surgical set and some graphic, Ecstasy Generation inspired outfits.
