This illustration for Mark Twain's classic The Adventures of Tom Sawyer was done in the style of Surrealist artist Joan Miró. The scene in the book is when Sawyer convinces Ben Rogers to give him his apple in exchange for the chance to whitewash his aunt Polly's fence.
