Rambaa Somdet held a grassroots festival show in Pattaya, the kinds of cards that are the foundations of Thailand's Muay Thai. His fighter Naksu (most of the close up photos below) held a classic "heart" vs "art" battle. His opponent was the Thailand Champion at the weight, you can see his terminator walk with his belt-box carrier before him (just below). The photos capture the event, and the community and family gather in the corner. In Thailand the path of the young Nakmuay runs somewhat socially parallel to the path of becoming a novice monk as a boy -- entering into a new formal/social structure where you master yourself, a process of maturation.
