TITANIC
I worked with Digital Domain, constructing a 26' long miniature of the Titanic, scaled from blueprints and stills of the actual ship.
It was made of Sintra, Plywood, and Styrene, and was made to come apart in sections so that James Cameron could determine how to best build the sets, tanks, and other physical effects, and what kind of equipment he would need to film it.
This particular model also used by James Cameron to create his Animatic Storyboards, which he relied upon as a blueprint to film the movie.
