Series of postage stamps on the theme of mathematics entitled 'Mathematica.' Using the system for geometric constructions of important rectangles, this series explores mathematic constructions as blueprints for the world around us. This series includes the hemidiagon, Root 2 Rectangle, Root 3 Rectangle, and the Golden Rectangle. It includes a commemorative package for collectors as well as its cancellation stamp.

 

The commemorative package and proposed re-design reads as follows: "'Mathematica hopes to celebrate geometric constructions of important rectangles around us. Using a blueprint schema, 'Mathematica' hopes to emphasize the construciton of these gemoetric shapes and even serve as inspiration to look at the quotidienne world and how these constructions define all spaces. We hope you enjoy this commemorative package of an historic celebration."
