This series tries to handle in a poetic way the ethylic dreams and nightmares of a timeless hepcat lost in the skeleton of its thought.

These geometrical forms sometimes rickety and almost assembled at random evoke the techniques of "the automatic writing" and the "exquisite corpse". Whereas our adventurous whippersnapper symbolizes the mysteries of the spirit which gets lost and has difficulty in mastering the imaginary macrocosm which he creates.
Of course, we shall note obvious references to the precursor Rimbaud for an illustration of the "Drunken Boat", the allusion to the elephants of Dali or still De Chirico for the atmosphere inspired by its "metaphysical" said works.
The processing of these images stresses the influence of the surrealists by the choice of the monochromaticity which gives an impression of timelessness and by used techniques mixing digital photography, computer generated images and traditional collage.

Cette série traite de manière poétique les rêves et cauchemars éthyliques d’un zazou hors du temps perdu dans le squelette de sa pensée.
En projetant cet élégant personnage dans l’univers architectural improbable qu’il a lui-même imaginé, j'ai essayé de développer un vocabulaire imagé en m’inspirant librement des Ecrits romanesques et poétiques du mouvement surréaliste.

Ces formes géométriques parfois bancales et assemblées presque au hasard évoquent les techniques de "l’écriture automatique" et du "cadavre exquis". Tandis que notre aventureux mirliflore symbolise les arcanes de l’esprit qui s’égare et peine à maîtriser le macrocosme imaginaire qu’il crée.

Le traitement de ces images accentue l’influence des surréalistes par le choix de la monochromie qui dégage une impression d’intemporalité et par les techniques employées mélangeant photographie numérique, images de synthèse et collage traditionnel.
