Some time ago, at the university, a professor assigned us a project: to create an adult book.

What is an adult book? It is a book designed specifically to be enjoyed and browsed by adults.

Doing a little research, I discovered that one of the most "popular" themes for an adult book was the Mandala, an ancient symbol handed down by the tradition of Tibetan monks.

Fascinated by the subject, I decided to develop a book of Mandala illustrations.

An idea came to me: instead of reproducing the usual characteristic forms of this iconology, far from most people's understanding because they are too abstract, I tried to find a way to bring the mandalas closer to the readers, combining those forms with more close to us and within everyone's reach: animals, everyday objects, even finding interesting combinations with the signs of the Zodiac.

From this story the series "Mandala Coloring Book" was born.
