This project was a tutorial project. First, I converted the image into a smart object so that it would be non-destructible. Then I brighten the image using the Shadow/Highlights adjustment. After that, I opened the image in the Filter- Stylize menu and applied an Oil Paint filter. I then opened it in the Filter Gallery, applying the Poster Edges effect. This effect added texturing in the detailed areas, so to clean this up I applied the filters Reduce Noise, Unsharp Mask, and Smart Blur. Lastly as a finishing touch, I added a Cutout filter in the Filter Gallery to give it a more comic book appearance and changed the blend mode to Soft Light, reducing the opacity to 50-70%.
