SHINE PROJECT (W.I.P.)
Idea: a small creature discovers remains of humanity in a boken down and post apocalyptic city.

I decided i wanted a strong contrast between the dark consept of the death of humanity, and a cute little mushroom creature that evolved into existence a bit after humans left.
Sketch of the idea:
A thing i quickly made of how it would work in 3D.
(used 3d paint because it was just a quick 3d sketch)
Inspiration for the setting.
To show that its a post apocalyptic setting.
Sketches for the little creature.
I decided on making them a mushroom because i just liked the idea and i thought it would be cute.
Procces of making the little mushroom.
At first i was going to make more of a simple face with little oval eyes but big googly eyes were way funnier and cuter so i went with them.
Final design for the mushroom:
After finishing this i got some feedback "Nice process so far, please explain all the steps, and say why you made certain choices."  "also go to your mv teacher for professional feedback."

So i added some more explenations and stuff.
And i asked my teacher for feedback.
I put the little mushroom into the correct pose, i wanted them to poke the skull.
Then i started making the skull.
I decided i wanted the eyes and nose to be hollow so i changed that with some help from a freind.
Then i added some ground and the mushroom, before making the ground less even to make it look more like ground instead of a floor.
Then i made a sidewalk next to it to show that it takes place in a city.
I made the road go around a corner because i think that looks better and i added a wall too make it look even more like a city.
Then i added color, and i broke the wall and removed some tiles, to make it look like the whole place is broken.
After getting some feedback: "it takes place after the death of humanity, but how can you show that better?"
So i added some more skulls. I changed the angles of the jaws, removed some teeth and made them a bit darker so they are still there but are different and dark enough to not really distract from the centre peice.
I also added some grass because i just thought that would look good.
Finally i made some vines growing up the wall to show the city has been taken over by nature.
(And i changed the lighting a little, but thats only visible in the render...)
And this is the final result after adjusting the camera and rendering it!
