The Baroque style is not popular currently, that`s why I prepared a little description of the style in a small article. (this is for those people who call it "the gypsy style")

The Baroque style originated in Europe in the XVII century and flourished until the middle of the XVIII century.
The Baroque became a continuation of the Renaissance, but its main characteristic was the abundance of ornaments, curvature and torsion, which gave the impression of movement and dynamics. Baroque architecture, furniture and decor were distinguished by sophistication, luxury and abundance of patterns and details.
Baroque was popular in Italy, France, Spain, Germany and Austria. In each of these countries, it had its own characteristics and differences. In Italy, for example, the style was associated with the Catholic Church and was used to create rich and luxurious interiors. In France, the Baroque was more elegant, and in Germany and Austria, the style was combined with elements of romanticism and mysticism.
The Baroque style gradually gave way to more concise and functional styles, such as classicism and Rococo. However, he has had a significant influence on art and interior design in subsequent eras and up to the present day.
The main characteristics of the Baroque style are an excess of decor, luxury and extravagance. The main features and characteristics of this style in interior design are listed below.
Luxury and brilliance: The Baroque style is characterized by the use of expensive and luxurious materials such as gold, silver, marble, silk, velvet and precious stones. These materials add shine and glamour to the interior.
Use of light: The Baroque uses light as one of the most important elements of the interior. Magnificent chandeliers and sconces, as well as luxurious candles, create an atmosphere of mystery.
Richness of color: The Baroque style uses a variety of bright and saturated colors, such as red, green, blue, gold and silver, which create brightness and saturation in the interior.
Complex shapes: Baroque is known for its complex shapes of furniture and decor. The shapes of furniture can be rounded and smooth, but there are often curves and pointed elements that create the effect of dynamics and movement.
Eclecticism: Baroque style is easily combined with elements of other styles, such as Gothic, Renaissance, Rococo, classicism, etc. Baroque is often the basic style on the basis of which new interior solutions are created. These features and characteristics make the Baroque style bright and extravagant.
Gold is a color that symbolizes wealth and nobility. In Baroque interiors, gold was used in the decoration of furniture, picture frames and mirrors, as well as in decorative elements such as candles, chandeliers and candlesticks.
Red is the color of passion and energy. In the Baroque style, red was used to create bright accents, for example, in carpets, textiles and furniture upholstery.
Purple is the color of luxury and sophistication. It has been widely used in Baroque interiors to create an atmosphere of luxury and sophistication. Purple shades can be seen in furniture upholstery, curtains and carpets.
White is the color of purity and light. It was used in the Baroque style to create a contrast with brighter colors such as red and gold. White color was used in the decoration of walls, ceilings, as well as in textiles and furniture upholstery.
Green is the color of nature and life. In the Baroque style, green was used to create an atmosphere of comfort and coziness. Green shades can be seen in plant motifs on wallpaper, carpets, fabrics and furniture upholstery.
Frescoes are one of the most characteristic elements of the Baroque style. They are often used to decorate ceilings and walls, creating visual effects of depth, volume and movement.
Baroque frescoes are distinguished by bright colors, dynamic compositions and an abundance of details. They often include architectural elements such as columns, arches and balustrades, as well as realistic depictions of animals, plants and other objects.
Baroque carpets are an important element of the interior in this style. They can be used as an independent decorative element, or to create a harmonious combination with other interior items.
Baroque was one of the most refined and luxurious styles in the history of interior design and architecture. It developed in Italy in the 17th century and spread throughout Europe, becoming one of the main styles of the Renaissance. This style was created to impress and surprise the viewer, and it was very popular among kings, church leaders and aristocrats.
