Disasters have always co-existed with civilizations and for a long time and they are extreme events caused by natural phenomenon. A serious disruption of the functioning of a community or a society involving, human, material, economy and environment. The project is aiming at creating a better environment for humans with a significant level of preparedness to natural hazards, furthermore it also aims at setting a strategy for building back better and recovery after the occurrence of the disaster. The main idea is based on three values, Well planned resilient neighborhoods, full accessibility for all, and integrated transportation. With respect of four main aspects, Infrastructure, Social, Economical, and Natural.
TERRITORIAL ANALYSIS
It included an analysis based on the four main aspects to have a broader idea on the territory with a study of history of a relevant natural hazard which is the earthquakes.
CRITICAL ISSUES AND OPPORTUNITIES
It includes an identification and spatialization of the critical issues, opportunities, and conflicts.
BUILDINGS ANALYSIS AND URBAN FABRIC
A deep analysis into the characters of building with overlaying them with a damage scenario that included a specific vulnerable buildings based on their structural systems. The area's morphology, landmarks, and important building.
